Finally, today in Char's life:

I woke up really early this morning to load my samples into the plate for gene sequencing to be sent up to the UW main campus. I'm worried about that, but in the middle of plating, I looked up and noticed a ridiculous number of boats passing by! Apparently there was a race going on around the islands and they were waiting for it to begin. Here's a view from the lab.
Here's a view from the dock! That's the ferry in the midst of that. Imagine being on that ferry, with all those sailboats just waiting to crash into the ferry! Or, maybe I should say, imagine being on one of those sailboats with a ferry bearing down on you!
