Waitomo

The next day out of Rotorua, we made our way to Waitomo, for the glowworm caves. We stopped by the Angora farm (The Shearing Shed) to see the HUGE, puffy rabbits. We even got to see them sheered too. Yes, that is a rabbit being sheared behind me!

Then we went off for caving with Waitomo Adventures. Very fun! It was a crazy thing to do, wandering the caves and seeing the glowworms. I wish we could have taken pictures, but of course you can't bring cameras, and they charge for pictures. Tim and I got them, but they were expensive, so here is mine!

We then made our way to Otorohanga Kiwi House Native Bird Park to see the kiwis. They were very active and it was cool to see them running around the place. They were awake because the kiwi house switches day and night in the enclosure. Saw a ton of other birds there too.

We then headed back to Auckland. Had dinner at an Italian restaurant (Portofino) in Parnell, which was actually pretty good.
